Might this Sunday be the last we see of Elisabeth Moss on Mad Men?

The thought is almost too sad to ponder, but if her character of Peggy jumps ad agencies, there’s a chance she’ll no longer be featured on the show.

Heading into this weekend’s season three finale, TV Guide Magazine asked Moss if her decision to join up with Duck’s company will be addressed. The actress replied:

“It’s definitely a huge thing. It’s not going to be swept under the rug.”

In between showing off her engagement ring, presented by Saturday Night Live star Fred Armisen, Moss explained her character’s recent thought process:

“Is [Peggy] supposed to be a mom? Work harder? Work less? Is she supposed to sleep around? One of my favorite lines is when she says to Don, ‘What if this is my time?’”

Mad Men Star Christina Hendricks Marries

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

Christina Hendricks has married her fiancé Geoffrey Arend at Il Buco restaurant in New York on Sunday, PEOPLE have confirmed.

The redheaded Hendricks, 34, and actor Arend, 31, were engaged earlier this year after being introduced through her Mad Men costar Vincent Kartheiser. Hendricks plays the voluptuous Joan on the show.

The couple exchanged platinum wedding bands made by Tacori. “The rings are simple and lovely – so much like Christina and Geoffrey,” says Tacori rep Michelle Chila. Arend’s engraved ring matches her petite platinum ring with two rows of pave-set diamonds.

When they went ring shopping earlier this year, the two knew they had a match. “They put the rings on the table,” Childa says, “and said, ‘Look, they talk to each other. They’re friends.’ ”

In July, Hendricks told PEOPLE she was planning to wear a Carolina Herrera wedding gown. “It was the first dress I tried on,” she said at the time, “and it was magnificent.”

Equally wonderful, Hendricks said she loves “everything” about Arend. “He’s considerate, he’s thoughtful, he’s smart, he takes care of me,” she said in July. “He’s very, very giving.”

Mad Men Season 3 Episode 8 “Souvenir”

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

What’s in store for Don now that he’s signed the Sterling contract? We find out tonight on Mad Men in the episode called “Souvenir.”

But before anything else, here’s a quick recap of what happened last week: Conrad Hilton wants Don to handle Hilton’s three New York City properties and Roger, Cooper, and Lane congratulate Don but warns him that there’s a hitch. Connie’s lawyers want Don under contract to Sterling Cooper to ensure continuity so Lane hands Don a three-year contract. In attempt to convince a reluctant Don, who believes that “no contract means I have all the power,” Roger calls Betty to encourage her husband to sign which eventually leads to an argument between Don and Betty. In the end, though, Don decides to sign the contract.

Peggy, on the other hand, receives an expensive Hermes scarf from Duck but Pete advises to send it back, believing that Duck is trying to use them to get back at Don for ousting him from Sterling Cooper. But when Peggy returns the scarf in Duck’s hotel suite, they end up kissing.

The drama continues as Don tries to convince Betty to go on a business trip with him, while Pete helps a neighbor in his building apartment. Not much has been revealed about the eighth episode of the third season but I guess being ambiguous is a good thing for a show like Mad Men. After all, seeing Betty go with Don for trip and seeing Pete lend a hand to a neighbor have not exactly happened before so it’ll be interesting to see how this pans out.

Meanwhile, we also see Pete offering to take the boys out for a drink since there’s no reason to work late and show off because all the bosses are gone. Check out the clip below!

Mad Men” becomes the subject of parody for PBS’ “Sesame Street” and the characters have been translated into muppet forms. Presented by EMC instead of AMC, the skit sees Don Draper holding a meeting for a honey ad with two of his execs.

Through the ads, the program designed for children wants to show how feelings of “mad”, “sad” and “happy” look like. Without leaving a little easter egg for adults to laugh at, Draper praised his agents after finding the right ad by saying, “Good job, sycophants!“.

This is not the first time “Sesame Street” pays homage to a primetime series. In August 2006, it released an episode of “Law and Order: Special Letters Unit” where the detectives are hunting for a missing letter M. The piece particularly makes fun of the “chunk-chunk” sound which is iconic to “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit“.

Coming on the heels of winning its second straight Emmy for best drama series, Mad Men attempts to prove that it got the victory it deserves with tonight’s “Seven Twenty Three” episode. Is it a significant date? An important event in history? A room number? Or a new address?

We find out that the title of the seventh episode of the third season is a reference to David Ogilvy, the real “Father of Advertising” and his 1963 book “Confessions of an Advertising Man,” a manual in which Ogilvy explains how useless it is to be creative unless you can also sell what you create.

When we last saw Mad Men, two executives from London arrived at Sterling, prompting Cooper to speculate that Don will be offered a dual post in New York and London. Don was summoned to a meeting with hotel magnate Conrad Hilton and looked like he’s about to land a new client, while Lane was given the chance to stay with Sterling at least for the time being.

The drama continues tonight as Betty tries her hand at local politics. Oh and she also has her hands full renovating the house. It looks like she’s aiming for a new look, though because she’s incorporating more fancy pieces of furniture in her living room. Betty wants the benefit of Don’s eye because all he does at work is evaluate objects but Don, suggesting to just “move the lamp at the other end of the sofa,” couldn’t care less since he’s really not into interior decorating.

And while that’s happening, Don is also forced into thinking about the future after a troubling incident ensues. Meanwhile, Peggy gets a very luxurious gift.

Now that there’s a new addition to the Draper household, I’m curious to find out how baby Eugene will affect Betty and Don’s relationship. But there’s a lot more going on in Mad Men’s sixth episode called “Guy Walks Into an Advertising Agency” and we find out tonight at 10/9c on AMC.

Last week on Mad Men, Sally’s grief over her grandfather’s sudden death manifested in some bad school behavior, Betty gave birth to her third child, Duck took a dramatic turn while the British owners’ approach to overseeing their merger came to the forefront.

The employees of Sterling Cooper have a lot on their plate this week because aside from dealing with their usual work loads, they’re also getting a surprising announcement. Unfortunately, it’s not the kind of news that they’d want to hear, especially with the Fourth of July holiday coming up.

Lane Pryce and his assistant John Hooker break the bad news that the British CEO is coming in for a friendly visit to evaluate Sterling Cooper’s staff, and you can immediately hear the entire office groaning. While that alone is difficult to take, the employees are tasked to prepare for the visit without interrupting their daily routine. Worst of all, they are forced to come in on a holiday.

Meanwhile, something is spooking Sally. Could it be the ghost of Grandpa Gene? Joan, on the other hand, receives some unexpected news. Could she be expecting a child?
